This week I’m writing about a wonderful garden nestled by a river in the Brecon Beacons in Wales. If I mention its a RHS Partner garden, you will probably guess the name of the garden .....
Loved reading this. Makes me want to go to Wales and plan a visit in this garden. But I can't imagine renting a car and driving on the left side of the road! Is there public transport or taxis in this area, that would make a visit possible?
There are lots of interesting gardens in the area which makes the trip worth while. Public transport not great - you can get a train to Abergavenny but its around 30 mins by car from there. A workshop would make really good use of your time and you may find there is somebody else staying in the area who could pick you up from the town - Sue may be able to co-ordinate.
Hi Sally. We really enjoyed our conversations with you and Linda. Very happy to share our passion for nature-inspired gardening (and weeds and compost) with all our visitors. I do hope you can both visit again in the summer when the garden will look and feel quite different, and, hopefully, the timber work in the valley around us will all be finished. Thanks for mentioning the workshops - most have places still available - except Polyculture with Alys Fowler next week. Sue and Ian
That's such an interesting tip about ground elder! Thanks Sally :-)
Thanks Melissa - I feel its important to find ways to live with 'weeds' rather than resort to digging them up
